Your notebook for this summer will be created to be a resource for you during the school year. Your notebook will be checked at the end of every 2nd week for organization and completeness. Your 3-ring binder should consist of the following sections: Notes/Classwork, Definitions, Homework, and Quizzes/Projects.

Homework:
You will have homework each night. All homework assignments will be checked for completion and some homework assignments will be collected and graded for understanding and presentation.

Classwork/Participation:
Everyone is expected to actively participate in class while working independently and in groups. Some of your classwork assignments will be collected and graded. Classwork and Participation in class go hand in hand and will include group and individual assignments, project work done in class, and mathematic discussions.

Quizzes:
There will be a quiz at least once a week.  Though students will be given advance notice on most quizzes, pop-quizzes may occur at the start, in the middle, or at the end of some classes.  Pop-quizzes will not be weighed as heavily as normal quizzes.
