The student recruitment period for 2007-2008 has ended. Students who will be 9th or 10th graders in one of our target high schools during the 2008-2009 school year may wish to review the forms below, but applications are not currently being accepted until the Fall of 2008. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer, you can download it for free by clicking on the box at the bottom. If you have this software on your computer, open it first then click on one of the documents below to download the parts of the application for your use:

Students in 9th and 10th grades who attend UB target schools, are in good academic standing and are seriously considering attending college may apply to the program if they and their parents or guardians meet federal income and educational guidelines. (Two-thirds of our students must meet both criteria; one-third may meet one or the other but not both.) To be educationally eligibile, the parent(s) with whom the student lives cannot have a degree from a four-year college. The most recent income guidelines are below.

Most recruiting takes in the fall. See your guidance counselor for a pass to attend the Upward Bound informational slide show in your school. Teachers, guidance counselors, parents, and community members can also refer students to Upward Bound at any time.
