2009 summer events and key dates

Boston Colleges Trip Thursday, July 16

Students travel to Boston and tour one of the many colleges located in the city.

Mid-Summer Evaluations Friday, July 17

Students will receive a written evaluation of their performance in each their five academic classes. Parents/guardians should read over the evaulations, sign and return them to UB on Sunday.

Creative Problem-Solving Day Wednesday, July 22

Students collaborate with their letter groups to solve a series of innovative, interdisciplinary problems.

Family Gathering Friday, July 24 at 5:00 at Congreve Hall

Families and friends are invited to UB for a festive dinner and an opportunity to meet teachers and other staff.

Career Expo Tuesday, August 4

Students will each meet with three local professionals who work in careers the students are interested in learning about.

UB Talent Show Thursday, August 8:00 at 6:30 pm in Murkland 115 (parents/guardians are invited to attend).

Students and staff share their talents.

Appreciation Night Friday, August 7 from 7:30 pm - 12:00 am

Students and residential staff exchange scrolls and take the opportunity to appreciate each other.

Students Depart Saturday, August 8 at 11:00 am

Students move out of the residence hall starting at 11:00 am

Final Evaluations Mid-August

Students will receive a final grade report and written evaluations for the residential program and each of their five classes. School guidance offices will also receive a copy for students' school file.
